On Saturday, May 9 at 10:00 AM, we will hold a Virtual Commencement honoring the BICS Class of 2020. As you know, the COVID-19 epidemic has caused a significant disruption in our time with the ten students of the Class of 2020. Shortly after learning that the Israel trip would be postponed, the students were sent home to complete their courses online and finish the program remotely.

In the face of this adversity and the disappointment it caused, these young men and women have exhibited extraordinary patience, understanding, and confidence in God’s purposes. Moreover, they have completed the program and deserve our recognition and encouragement.

In lieu of our typical commencement exercises, we’ll be holding a virtual student recognition on Saturday, May 9 at 10:00 AM live-streamed via Zoom (and also on the BICS Facebook page). The time will feature student testimonies, prayer for the students, and a reflection on the year. A brief keynote address will be delivered by Rev. Roger Brown — a pastor for over 50 years, father and father-in-law of six BICS alumni, and grandfather of one of the graduates in the Class of 2020.

Family, friends, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters are invited to join us for this special time of encouragement and recognition. Attendees will be able to view the Virtual Commencement on a computer/tablet/phone via the link below (no camera is necessary; attendees will be view-only).
